Ukrainian Refugees Food Drive
Ukrainian Refugees in Winnipeg Food Drive
Ukrainians are fleeing to places all over the world escaping Russia’s invasion of their country.
Refugees have arrived in Winnipeg, cities and towns in Manitoba. A welcome centre has been set up in Winnipeg by the Ukrainian National Federation in their hall at 935 Main Street.
When refugees first arrive they are provided with clothing and other necessities. Once those in Winnipeg get their temporary housing they come to the centre for food. More often than not the shelves are bare.
Our food drive is ending tomorrow, September 28. There is still time to donate!
Some required items are:
Rice, buckwheat, oatmeal, sugar, honey, coffee/tea, shampoo, deodorants, feminine products, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, pasta, pasta sauce, flour, cooking oil, canned meats, canned goods, new pillows
THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!
