Memorial Service Omissions

Memorial Service Omissions

Dear Aerie Members and Families,

On behalf of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, we want to extend our deepest and most heartfelt apologies for the oversight that occurred during our recent Memorial Service. This ceremony is meant to honour and remember the cherished members of our Aerie who have passed, and it is a moment we hold with great respect and sincerity.

It was brought to our attention that the name of your loved one was not included in the reading of the memorial roll. We understand how painful and disappointing this must have been, especially with your family present to honour their memory. Please know that this omission does not reflect the value, respect, or gratitude we hold for your loved one’s contributions to our organization and community.

We take full responsibility for this error. Steps are being taken to review and strengthen our record‑keeping and memorial procedures to ensure that every member is properly acknowledged. Your loved one will be formally recognized at our next meeting, and we would be honoured to work with you to ensure their memory is preserved in a way that feels meaningful to your family.

We are truly sorry for the hurt this caused. Your loved one remains an important part of our Eagles’ family, and their legacy will not be forgotten.

With the sincerest of apologies,
The Fraternal Order of Eagles and Ladies Auxiliary, Aerie #3870
